‘Croatia at the Bottom or at a Beginning: Models and Experiences in Re-launching an Economy’

The 2013 Annual Conference of the Academy for Political Development will be held on 27-28 September 2013 in Zagreb, Croatia. This year’s Conference ‘Croatia at the Bottom or at a Beginning: Models and Experiences in Re-launching an Economy’ will focus on the global economic crisis and models for resolving acute issues related to re-launch of economic growth, both at national and local levels.
Over one hundred alumni from different sectors of society (politics, public administration, civil society, the private sector and the media) will discuss, together with eminent national experts, the (un)conventional models of generating new jobs and exiting the crisis, taking into consideration the recent political and economic developments of the country, especially Croatia’s accession to the European Union.
