The School is an independent initiative supported by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) which aims to prepare young leaders to meet future challenges of African societies.

It is a regional project by its very nature as participants are recruited from the eight French-speaking Western African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo.

The new School has been invited to join the Association of Schools of Political Studies of the Council of Europe to share experiences and best-practices with other members of the Network.
